1.
General principles
1.1
The following Terms and Conditions are effective from the 1st of September 2003
and supersede all previous versions.
1.2
The terms "Company" and "Globet" refer to GlobetVIP.com Limited.
1.3
Any future variations will be notified to clients through the website or directly through the usual
communication media; the contents of the website form an integral part of these conditions.
1.4
Clients should be aware of Globet's Terms and Conditions. By placing a bet the
client accepts these rules.
1.5
Clients must be of majority age according to their country of residence. Globet reserves the right to cancel bets or winnings placed by a minor.
1.6
Any exception to these rules will be communicated in written form to the client. Any verbal statement made by Globet employees or agents will be disregarded in case of a dispute.
1.7
Globet cannot be held responsible in any case or circumstance for any damage or
loss caused directly or indirectly by the web-site or its contents or by the
misuse of it or its contents by a third party.
1.8
Globet reserves the right to decide any case
arising from any omission from these rules or contents of the website and pledges
to do so in an equitable manner.
1.9
Bets via telephone, fax or e-mail are not accepted.
1.10
Globet will not be held responsible if the client cannot place a bet for any reason.
1.11
Globet reserves the right in its absolute discretion, in the event of any irregularities
raising suspicion that the player is attempting to or has manipulated games and or the system,
to annul and countermand the games played by the player and withhold any claims to winnings.
2.
Definitions
2.1
Stake: is the amount placed on a bet.
2.2
Winnings: is calculated by multiplying the
stake by the odds of the selected event.
3.Personal account
3.1
You can access the service to Globet Games by opening a personal account via
the Globet.com website. You will then be allocated a unique number and password.
Bets and money drawn will be debited to this account and winnings and deposits
credited. There are neither costs nor interest in running this account. Opening
an account implies agreement for Globet to hold your personal data as defined
by the Data Protection Act 1998.
3.2
Clients are responsible for the security of
their account number and password. Any bet placed using these data will be considered
valid. Clients may change their password via telephone or internet at any time.
3.3
The client has an obligation to inform Globet
as soon as possible of any amounts wrongly credited on his/her account. Globet
reserves the right to cancel any winnings between the date of the error to
the date of advice.
3.4
You will not be permitted to withdraw funds
from the account until we have verified receipt of the deposit. For overseas clients,
any amounts remitted but not received within two months will be redebited to your
account and the company reserves the right to cancel all winnings from the date of
the first deposit not confirmed.
3.5
With the exception of point 3.4, the client may claim a payout on a simple
written request. Those transfers that incur a cost will be debited to the client's
account. Payouts are processed on the day of request. Western Union payouts are
normally effected within 15 minutes.
3.6
Globet reserves the right to refuse to open an account without providing any
explanation. Any deposit will be refunded once actually received.
3.7
Globet reserves the right to close an account at any time and without providing
any explanation. Any balance on the account will be returned to the client minus
transfer costs. If a client again opens an account (without written authorization
by Globet) under his/her or with another name, Globet reserves the right to reclose
the account and keep the funds for a minimum period of two years.
3.8
It is the client's responsability to ensure his/her
personal details are correct and to notify our customer care department of any changes.
4.Acceptance of bets
4.1
Once a bet is submitted and accepted, the stake
is deducted from the client's personal account.
4.2
It is the client's responsability to ensure his/her instructions have been received
correctly by Globet.
4.3
Globet reserves the right to decline totally or
partially any proposed bet without providing any explanation.
4.4
The client cannot modify or cancel a bet already accepted by the company.
4.5
The company does not accept bets on credit: the
acceptance of a bet is subject to sufficient credit in the account.
4.6
Bets wrongly accepted with no funds on the account
will be cancelled.
4.7
Clients must place their bets on their own account. Any bet placed with the intent of
defrauding Globet and/or placed (without written permission) by/through any bookmaker,
betting syndicate and/or person, association, friends or relatives in individual or
group form and/or under the advice of any other person, association, friend, relative,
company, corporation, will be cancelled and Globet will keep the funds in the account
for a minimum period of two years.
5.Eligibility
5.1
GlobetGames is restricted to individuals of legal
adult age only. You cannot play under any circumstances if you are not at least eighteen
years of age.Minors may not play. Participation in the activities and games of GlobetGames
(THE "GAME") is open only to residents of those jurisdictions ( THE "PLAYER") where such
participation is legal and not prohibited. If you are breaking the law in your state or
country please do not gamble or deposit funds with us.
5.2
The player understands that the Game is for
entertainment value only. The player understands and acknowledges that no purchase
is necessary or required to play the Game. If a player wishes to play without betting
money, he/she may do so, on the “play for fun” section.
6.
Bets via internet
6.1
No tax is charged on bets placed via internet.
6.2
It is the client's responsibility to check, before confirming the bet, that the data
entered and displayed (stakes, events, selections, odds etc.) are correct. It will not
be possible to change or to cancel a bet once it has been confirmed.
6.3
The company does not take any responsibility for
any damage or loss caused to the client by the web-site or its contents and omissions or
mistakes in these, delays or interruptions of transmissions, errors or loss of data,
damage in the communication lines, interception or improper use of any information
broadcast on the internet. In case of damage caused by a third party, the data processing
system of the company will be at disposal of the client and of the authorities to help in
identifying those responsible.
7.
Calculating and paying off winnings
7.1
The calculation of the winnings on a determined
event/competition will take place at the conclusion of the last event.
7.2
All winnings will be credited to the client's account.
7.3
Unless otherwise specified, odds are expressed in decimals and
include the stake.
Examples of equivalents:
Decimal odds 3.00 = 200 (Italian odds) = 2/1 (English odds)
= +200 (American odds)
Decimal odds 1.50 = 50 (Italian odds) = 1/2 (English odds)
= -200 (American odds)
Decimal odds 1.25 = 25 (Italian odds) = 1/4 (English odds)
= -400 (American odds)
7.4
The maximum weekly winnings for each client or betting
syndicate is €300.000 irrespective of the number of bets placed. Globet reserves the right to
revoke the winning amounts exceeding € 300.000 on the account of a client or of a number of clients
controlled by a betting syndicate. The week is considered starting at 00:00:00 GMT on Monday to
23:59:59 on Sunday.
7.5
The minimum stake for each bet is €0.50/$0.50/£0.50.
7.6
The maximum winnings for each event is limited to €100.000/$100,000/£100,000.
8.Claims and appeals
8.1
All telephone calls are recorded in the interest of the client.
8.2
Globet will take into consideration claims sent via fax to the number +350 475 32 or via e-mail (to globet@globet.com) or normal mail (to GlobetCasino Limited Suit 18-20 Watergardens, Block 3 Gibraltar ). No claims or disputes will be considered 30 days after the completion of the event.
8.3
In any case no claim or dispute can be an objection to the Betting Office
Licence or Bookmaker's Permit until it has been submitted to arbitration and
the defaulting party has not fulfilled the decisions of the board of
arbitrators.
8.4
For any dispute the place of jurisdiction is Gibraltar.
